Electronic Revalidation of ISIC Cards

We have an important update regarding the revalidation of ISIC student cards. Starting from the winter semester 2025/2026, paper revalidation stickers will no longer be used, as we are switching to electronic validation. You can now extend your card’s validity conveniently online within just a few minutes, without waiting in line at school – and at the same time, you’ll be helping the environment by eliminating plastic stickers.

What is changing?

  • Physical revalidation stickers will no longer be issued.
  • Card validity will be verified exclusively electronically via the Alive App (available for free on Google Play and the App Store).
  • Your plastic card remains the same; only the method of validation is changing.

Don’t have a smartphone?

If you do not own a smartphone and cannot use the Alive App, you will need to order a new plastic card each academic year. This card will have the valid license printed on it, allowing you to continue using all ISIC benefits.

How will electronic revalidation work?

  1. Ordering and payment will take place as before – through InSIS.
  2. The electronic revalidation system will be launched in the following week.
  3. All students eligible for revalidation will receive an informational email in their university mailbox. This email will include step-by-step instructions and the exact date when the electronic license becomes available.
  4. After payment, the card’s validity will be automatically extended in the system – usually within 15 minutes, depending on the payment method.
  5. The Alive App will then display the updated validity date of your card.

Electronic validation serves as the official confirmation of ISIC, valid for all student discounts and benefits in the Czech Republic and abroad.
