Internships
Faculty of Business Administration is a member of the European Foundation for Management Development EFMD and as a result, students of FBA have a free access to a unique network Highered – The Global Talent Network. Students can use it when they search for an internship abroad. To enter the network, you need to register at http://vse.higheredtalent.org/login. Insert your e-mail address (the part in front of @vse.cz) and confirm the e-mail you will receive in your mailbox. Students may choose a different company for their internship, but it needs to be approved by the academic director of International study programmes.

TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS
- Erasmus+ Internship – internship within the EU with financial support from the EU. Elective course “Professional experience in the company” (33F701) for 6 ECTS credits. The internship will be also noted in the Diploma Supplement.
- Non-Erasmus Internship – internship outside the EU with the financial support from the FBA Stipend fund. Elective course “Professional experience in the company” (33F701) for 6 ECTS credits. The internship will be also noted in the Diploma Supplement.
- Internship in the Czech Republic – internship in one of the partner companies of the Faculty of Business Administration or any other upon the approval by the academic director of International study programmes. Elective course “Professional experience in the company” (33F701) for 6 ECTS credits.
1) ERASMUS+ INTERNSHIP
Students of the Master in Management Programme at VŠE may obtain an ERASMUS+ grant.
Requirements
- A student must be duly enrolled at the sending university (it is necessary to have a student status) during the whole time of the internship abroad, (it is not possible to finish studying at the home university before completing the internship).
- Minimum duration of 8 weeks (2 months), a maximum of 180 days (6 months).
- Only in a country, which is a member of the Erasmus Programme, countries of EHP Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and EU candidates Turkey and Macedonia.
- The traineeship can be carried out in any public or private organization operating in the labour market or in the field of education, training and youth work, a non-profit organization, a public entity operating on a local, regional or national level, etc., with the exception of EU bodies, institutions and other EU entities, including specialized agencies and organizations, that lead EU programmes (e.g. national agencies of Erasmus+).
- Full-time employment, which has to be approved in advance.
- Each student is allowed to participate in the period of his/her university education in the Erasmus internship programme only once
- “abroad” is defined as outside the country of the home school AND outside the country of citizenship or country which is culturally similar to the country of citizenship (e.g. Czech Republic-Slovak Republic, Germany-Austria, Norway-Sweden etc.)
Note: Each student can participate in the Erasmus programme (study + internship) up to 12 months maximum during their master’s study.
Financial support
After fulfilling the requirements, students receive financial support for the internship. In the case of a paid internship, the financial support could be received for a maximum period of 2 months. In case of unpaid internship, the maximum is 4 months (120 days).
The amount of grant varies according to the country of the internship. Countries are divided into 2 groups according to the cost of living and therefore the grant differs as follows:

Before the internship starts
- Arrangement of the internship (contact with the company, conditions, duration, etc.).
- Formal confirmation of the internship by the receiving enterprise – signature of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships.
- Confirmation of the internship by the sending institution (academic director) – signature of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships.
- Request for Erasmus+ grant – submission of Learning Agreement for Traineeships signed by both parties to the MIMG coordinator.
- Student’s signature of the Bank account details form.
- Receiving grant – student’s signature of the Financial Agreement.
- Proof of an Accident and Liability insurance (in case the receiving institution does not cover it).
! All documents must be submitted to the MIMG office before the internship starts!
Payment of the grant takes place usually within one month after the MIMG office receives all required documents. Please, note that there will be no money transfers during July and August.
After the internship finishes
- Final accounts of the grant – submit the Internship Evaluation Form_VSE – confirmation of duration and results of the internship, which is to be filled by the receiving company. The document must be submitted to the MIMG office.
- Final report of the internship from the student (in Insis and in an online application Mobility Tool)
- Recognition of the internship by the academic director.

2) NON-ERASMUS INTERNSHIP
Students who plan to conduct their internship outside the EU may apply for a grant from the FBA Stipend fund. The grant is a fixed amount of 15,000 CZK (approx. 600 EUR).
Requirements
- A student must be duly enrolled at the sending university (it is necessary to have a student status) during the whole time of the internship abroad, (it is not possible to finish studying at the home university before completing the internship).
- Minimum duration of 8 weeks (2 months).
- Full-time employment, which has to be approved in advance.
- Proof of an Accident and Liability insurance (in case the receiving institution does not cover it).
Before the internship starts
- Arrangement of the internship (contact with the company, conditions, duration, etc.).
- Formal confirmation of the internship by the receiving enterprise – signature of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships.
- Confirmation of the internship by the sending institution (academic director) signature of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships.
- Decision on assigning a grant from FBA Stipend fund.
- Payment of the grant to a bank account stated in InSIS.

3) INTERNSHIP IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Students can conduct an internship in one of the partner companies of the Faculty of Business Administration (e.g. T-Mobile, Plzeňský Prazdroj, Škoda Auto, HOPI, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, L’Oréal, KPMG, LEGO and others) or any other company upon approval by the academic director of International study programmes.
Requirements
- A student must be duly enrolled at the sending university (it is necessary to have a student status) during the whole time of the internship (it is not possible to finish studying at the university before completing the internship).
- Minimum duration of 8 weeks (2 months).
